There are many great resources for researching incoming rookies that I use. As part of my introduction to the ’19 class I wanted to share some of the best in each area. I try to get a decent range of perspectives on each, particularly in the podcasts.
Scouting Profiles:
- The Draft Network – TDN is a fantastic source for basic info on these players.
- FF Statistics Prospect Profiles – While they don’t have a profile for every player, the many that they do give more detailed information on each.
- Dynasty Dummies Website – They don’t just do podcasts, but have a ton of written work as well.
- Andy Singleton with Dynasty League Football – Andy Singleton @PeoplezPen and John Laub @GridironSchol91 have made some nice video profiles if you prefer that medium. You can also find the audio versions at Andy’s Podcast
Stats and Metrics
- The CFB Sports Reference site is just comprehensive as the other pro-reference sites with all their basic stats.
- Player Profiler is a great place for all of a rookie’s combine results and college production analysis.
Film Review
- The Jet Set Dynasty podcast’s website has put together a library of curated videos on most of the major prospects.
