More observations through the lens of my Fantasy Command stat and positional team defense points against based on just the last 5 weeks.
Match-ups to Avoid
Chicago @ Detroit
Oh, yeah. Nvm. Hope you avoided.
Tennessee @ New England
You might get some decent numbers from New England players like Harris and Meyers, but all things equal, I’d avoid anyone in this game other than the Patriots’ DST.
Start: New England DST. Top Patriots if needed. Jones, Meyers, Hunter, Harris.
Sit: All Titans and Jonnu Smith.
Match-ups to Focus On
New York Jets @ Houston
I hope your Turkey was as tasty as this matchup. One of the crazier parts of this is the Texans just released Phillip Lindsay leaving David Johnson and Rex Burkhead to hold the fort. I sincerely wonder about a Rex game. Tyrod Taylor was decent but the Brandin Cooks takes did not hit at all last week. Hope to see a bounce back. Meanwhile, Elijah Moore could continue his matchup winning performances against this terrible Jets Defense.
Start: Tyrod Taylor, Brandin Cooks, Jamison Crowder, Elijah Moore
Sit: Defenses.
Steelers @ Bengals
A little surprising for this one, but the Steeler defense has not lived up to expectations and while they are only top 10 in Running Back points allowed, they aren’t the best in other areas either. Meanwhile, the Bengals are top 5 in three different positions. The only concern here is it turns into a slow paced low scoring running the back grind-fest.
Start: Mixon, Higgins, Chase, Najee, Diontae, Claypool, Freiermuth.
Sit: Defenses.
